I admit, I feel into this "I wish Obama well and hope he succeeds" mantra. But it never really sat well with me. I had to take a long hard look at that position. And I found, I can't make that stand and be truly serious about my conservative values. I mean really, how can a true conservative wish any liberal well? They are liberals. And they want to dismantle everything I believe in so promote an agenda that takes freedom away, liberty away and remakes this country into what may be an unrecognizable country that men have fought and died for. So no, I won't wish Obama well, because he has policies that will cause great harm to this country. And I suggest to all of you, Republicans, Conservatives to knock it off as well. We as a party, as a movement, need, demand and have no other alternative but to get a backbone and stand up for the principles of our party. Reagan was the epitome of Conservatism, the military is the epitome of conservatism. And it's high time we as a party and individuals shake off our politeness and get on with the business at hand. Obama is a foe, he is the political polar opposite of what this great country stands for and its is inexcusable for us to treat him or his policies any other way. The challenge over the course of the next four years isn't how we can best appeal to the voting public it's how we can support, protect and defend on behalf of the voting public that which is conservative; less taxes, less government, stopping the military cuts and funding and above all, keeping the true conservative values Reagan espoused and lived. We were a great party when Reagan was President. We lost it when Reagan left because we became cowardly in our convictions. Enough of the compassionate conservatives. The true compassion comes when this country is supported by the values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in its truest forms. And that ladies and gentleman is not enlarging government to do the politicians bidding. It belongs to the people.
